The Challenge: Elevating Tenant Appeal

Frasers Property UK wanted to strengthen the arrival experience at Building 150, Farnborough Business Park, as part of a strategy to attract new occupiers. The existing frontage lacked cohesion and impact. The challenge was to faithfully realise ASA Landscape Architects’ elegant design while working in a live business park environment — minimising disruption, ensuring safety, and upholding sustainability.

The Solution: Sustainable Commercial Landscaping

S&C Slatter delivered ASA Landscape Architects’ design vision through precision hard landscaping works. Key to our approach were sustainability, safety, and empathy:

  • Reclaiming and reusing on-site concrete block paving. reduced demand for virgin resources, cut transport emission, and minimised landfill waste.
  • A detailed construction plan was developed by our Head of HSEQ to manage safety, logistics, and working practices with minimal disruption to neighbouring occupiers.

We narrowed the road in front of the building to one lane, reducing vehicle speeds and connecting previously disjointed outdoor spaces. Bespoke seating and planters expanded the frontage, while precision-installed geometric overhead structures created continuity with the site’s industrial heritage.

The Results: New Occupiers Secured

The works were a commercial success. The revitalised frontage offered more outdoor space, improved safety, and a stronger first impression. For Frasers, the investment delivered measurable returns by enhancing tenant appeal and securing premium lettings:

  • Howden Insurance leased 5,027 sq ft of office space.
  • Solomon Associates took a further 3,476 sq ft of space.
